GUIDE UPDATED AS OF 13/12/2018

with that out of the way

Beginner's Guide for meatheads

Leveling:

Level 1 - 60:

Starting the game, you will receive a level jump potion in your NX tab that will boost you to level 60, along with some other goodies and gear to help you along your journey. Make sure to pop that VIP to get extra AP and XP as you are leveling up. Also everytime you reach a level milestone (etc. Level 10, 20, 30...), you will receive new boxes and pouches containing gear and items that are level appropriate in order to further progress without having to grind for gear. These are optional for you to use, if you do not want to, you can still do battles to get recipes to craft gear.

After the first few quests that introduces you to the game, it is completely optional to complete others, but keep in mind that some skills are quest locked, such as DK & PA transformation, fishing, expertise, and meditation. I recommend following story quests unless you know what you are doing. Don't be afraid to die because those first dungeons are built for you to learn your character, and you will receive infinite revives until level 85. Also, increasing the difficulty will not only drop more loot, but also increases the damage, tankiness, and speed of enemies.

Make sure to buy Goddess Graces, Merc Recovery Potion and blessing stones every single day from Ernmass' AP Shop in the Colhen Inn (he is the old man). Also make sure to buy the 7 days VIP and 7 days cadet badges weekly to help ease the leveling grind.

IMPORTANT: Always use blessing stones, as they are purchasable for gold in Aislinn's shop. Make sure to double bless whenever you are running with someone else for extra loot. Divine stones will always override other stones, so make sure your timing is right when double bless. Also you can only remove a blessing stone when you are not ready.

Level 60 - 80:

By now, you should already have some decent gear from level up boxes and a feel for your character's control. I recommend doing doing The Fomorian Leader or The Giant if you are still struggling to understand your character. If you constantly finding yourself dead even on easy raids at this level, branching out to other characters doesn't hurt, as well watching videos or asking in chat. Raids that are worth farming for their desirable and drops are:

Easy Battles:

Red Archer on Hero - 4 bosses means 4x chance for enhancement elixirs
The Evil One on Easy - Well-balanced scroll
Colru The Golem  on Easy - Aim for the break off for the Colru Nucleus to craft a Fomorian Book
Frostborn Seal on Easy - Leopard scroll, Berserker scroll, and Twinkling scroll
Fate And Destiny on Easy - Well-balanced scroll
Two Moons on Hero - Magic Powder and Blessed Magic Powder
Fruitful on Hero - Valor scroll
Colhen In Flames on Hero - Empowered Enhancement Stone
Secret Naughty Chamber on Hero - Enthusiastic scroll and Empowered Enhancement Stone
Rocheste By Sea on Easy - Paradise Enhancement Stone

Hard Battles:

All S(eason) 2 Raids on 80-90 - Rank 7 Enchant Scrolls

If you are having difficulty with the raids, I encourage you to use the megaphones to ask for help, courteously.

Level 90+:

Before diving into S3, I recommend enhancing your weapons and armours to at least +10 and enchanted with at least Rank 9 scrolls to help with the critical chance, balance, and attack speed.

Keep in mind, the jump from S2 to S3 is quite drastic, as the mobs takes a lot more hits to kill and hits very hard, also your infinite source of revives is now gone. The main design concept of S3 battles are to challenge your mastery of your character and the game. I recommend doing these new S3 battles with a another person or more, because feathers are cheaper than G(oddess) G(races). If you do have the funds, health pot's and GG's are sold by Jarlath, down the stairs to the right of Brynn's

Here is my opinion and recommendation on the S3 map.

Ben Chenner Entrance: Great for farming shards on Hard, since all 5 bosses have a chance to drop OJ piece and the waking stones from regular drop strengthen your characters permanently.
Garden Of Tears: Easiest raid boss in S3 with the lowest health. Great for beginners since her attacks are very clearly telegraphed.
Temple Of The Fallen Moon: Toughest boss in S3 due to his fast and relentless attacks. Also he sends you into 0G that instantly kill you.
Island Ruins: Requires at least 2 people. Patterns and mechanics may be difficulty to get down at first. Probably the second toughest boss(es).
The One Who Shines: Just a buffed up version of Regina, but only stat wise, making Lugh very easy to solo.
Pain And Despair: Very sporadic and difficult to learn patterns, but it has very few patterns. Great source of Paradise Enhancement Stones and if you're lucky, a Yohaad Essence to craft level 90 earrings.

You should also run some Niflheim raids, mainly Zecallion, because he is the easiest, for enhancement runes and keys for bracelets gems.

Your goal on S3 is to gather shards and essences from battles and raids to form your level 90 weapon and armours. There are 3 different grades that shards and essences comes in, but it is up to RNG to decides what drops for you; the weakest is blue, then purple, the orange. You will know when an orange piece had been dropped by a very extravagant effect, I won't spoil it for you, first times are magical. You can craft these weapons and armours by an NPC named Dianann at the same place as Jarlath.

I hope you saved your daily tickets and seals of bravery, because enhancing and enchanting your weapons and armours will be way easier with runes. Basic runes can be bought from their respective merchants, Ferghus & Brynn, while more advanced +11 - +13, +13 - +15, +15 - +18, and +18 - +20 can be bought with special currencies at Shire and Royal Army Cadet at the Colhen Docks. Accepted currencies include Daily Tickets, S3 Raid Tickets,  Legendary Shard Remnant, and Seals of Bravery; I recommend new players to farm or trade for Daily Tickets because Shire has wares, if you have coins (tickets).

Gearing:

Accessories: Run these on 80-90 difficulty

Spellbook: I recommend rushing to get the Colru Nucleus to craft a Fomorian Book, which gives you +3 crit, and with infusing +5 crit in total.

Brooch and Necklace: Kristie in Colhen sells the White Cat Brooch for 35 mi and the White Cat Necklace for 25 mil. You can also do Charles' minigames for the Erg Brooch, or running Twilight Desert for a Moonlight Sapphire Brooch, both can be found in S2. I recommend sticking with the White Cats.

Belt: You should craft a Evil Monster's Leather Belt when you have the chance, since it is the easiest belt to obtain with decent stats. You can also run Misty Summit for level 80 belts, Peridot for STR and Amethyst for INT, or whichever you feel matches your pretty face.

Rings: I recommend running Ship Graveyard for Cresent Moon Announcement for stronk (STR) and Ocean Depths Monster for thonk (INT), though these are quite uncommon to drop. You can always settle for Thunder Ring or Cresent Moonlight Ring as they are good enough.

Bracelets: Niflheim raids are where you would find keys to turn into Aislinn in exchange for bracelet gems. She also sells bracelets for a low, low price of 10 million, or more. I recommend bracelets with emerald and another stone that matches your astrological sign. Be warned: Niflheim bosses are very difficult, and features permadeath in Hard difficulty and above.

Earrings: Your endgame piece would be either Innocent Cry or Innocent Tear, whichever fits your respective spiritual alignment (STR or INT). They can be crafted at Brynn with several rare drops from Yohaad (purple diseased mongrel with an eye-coloured tick stuck to its chest) and Ben Chenner Entrance. Alternatives can be literally anything you picked up from drops, since accessories is only secondary to ...

WEAPONS & ARMOURS:

Generally, you should try to get your weapon to at least +15 before attempting to seriously farm for end game gear. Having an entirely Orange weapon would be ideal since it would let you enhance all the way up to +20, but I would seriously not recommend going that far unless you want to be driven to insanity. You can also swap shards and essences one by one to form your OJ weapon, but once you swap an essence, your enhancement level will be dropped to 0 and you will have to start over. Enchanting is much more forgiving, as the rates had been boosted up and you can buy runes that would protect your gear and hard earned scroll from destruction from failure, just make sure you actually get to 100 brynn without going over to maximise results.

Tips for farming for end game gear:
  • At least +13 your Armageddon weapon, the armour doesn't matter if you know how to dodge.
  • Farm Muir for Paradise enhancement stones so you can enhance later.
  • Join S3 boats when they are announced on the megaphone channel.
  • Try to do Ben Chenner Entrance and get a feel for S3, try to evade and not take damage, because bosses in S3 can effectively 3 shot you.
  • If you are having trouble doing S3 contents, I heavily recommend joining a guild or asking people for help. Don't be afraid to PM people from the [Dream] guild, they're helpful. If you are having troubles finding guilds, look around for people with guild tags and ask if you can join. (Guild [Wolves] have spots for new people).
Usually, classes would have two weapons, though there are some that do not. All classes and weapons are completely viable for end game, just pick what you feel comfortable and enjoy playing. Of course some would have higher skill ceiling than others, but I would not be putting a tier list in here because every class is equal and delightful in their own light. So try them all out.

For weapons, I recommend putting twinkling and valor for mainly critical chance. Attack speed and damage will come with enhancing the weapon.

For armours, I recommend well-balanced and enthusiastic for everything to increase critical chance and balance, and master for the chest piece.

Until you'd obtained R6-7 scrolls, these are the best in slot for weapons and armour.
Social:

When looking for guilds to join, please be courteous and respectful to each other. There is the Recruitment tab in the server's Discord that guilds advertise openings, you can also use the megaphone to ask around. Once you had applied to a guild, be sure to notify the guild leaders or members that you have applied, otherwise they will not acknowledge your application. Also be graceful, you are not entitled to a spot in the guild, if the guild leader doesn't want to accept you, move on, there are a lot more guilds out there.

Don't be discouraged if the marketplace looks empty, it gives your items priority to show up first. Also, think about what people want to buy in order to sell, instead of just putting junk up. I recommend selling elixirs, paradise stones, magic powders, and other progression materials if you are in need for some cash. You should also use the megaphones to advertise what you want to sell or buy. Remember: Gold is not the only type of currency, Daily tickets, S3 raid tickets, items, and gears are also valuable goods that can be used to trade. I also recommend using the mail to trade items, but be careful of frauds. It like Western Union.

Gold farming can be very challenging if you have not reached end game. A rule of thumb to is to think about what does your customer wants, what you want is irrelevant. End game players are actively looking for orbs from luminaries, enhancement elixirs for their gear, magic powders for their enchantments, maybe even enchant scrolls that you have picked up. Gold can also be made not just from barter alone, but services that you can provide, like crafting gear for a fee, material farming for their expertise, or even being their gf for 1000GP. All I am saying, is that people will pay you in gold, if you have what they want, service or items.

Don't be afraid to ask for help or look for groups to raid with using the megaphone or general chat. Most of the population still do not have end game gear, so I encourage everyone to team up to take on difficult content together. People that you form parties with may become your reliable raid partners or friends IRL. So be nice to each other.

Usually, I will be hosting end game raids starting at around 6PM Eastern Standard Time, feel free to send a whisper to join.

And that should wrap it up.

And like I mentioned above, any resources for base game are in the wikis, while information such as enhancement success rates are found in Tea's post. If there are anything that I missed, send a comment or PM. And really, actually read Tea's and my guide before asking questions about where things are in game.
